DR. HARRIS LEVEY

Dr. Levey brings to Venture Health Group over 20 years of experience in business integration and restructuring, strategic planning, project management and streamlined efficient operational leadership. He is a managed health care veteran who has lead national regulatory compliance and quality assurance programs in the dental and vision industry.
Prior to his fifteen year tenure at General Electric, he directed several large managed care group practices. Most recently, Dr. Levey served as the Vice President and National Dental Director at GE Consumer Finance, GE Dental and Vision, and SmileSaver Dental Plan. Dr. Levey was responsible for GE business units which generated over $50 million in revenue. He is experienced with matrix based management teams managing over 90 employees. Dr. Levey is GE Six Sigma Quality trained and Greenbelt certified which enabled him to utilize analytical skills, team building and courageous leadership to implement a Center of Excellence for GE in California. Additionally, his driving continuous training and retraining programs have resulted in increasing success in corporate service levels.
Dr. Levey has also directed national GE product integration and restructuring projects. For example, one project brought together two non like businesses [health and legal] at functional levels. The strategic integration of bringing the oversight of these dental and legal products under one corporate roof resulted in economies of scale. By combining different customer service product call centers the result was a 25% cost savings. Overall, GE achieved a multimillion dollar reduction in the administrative load along with large capital overhead reductions.
Additionally, Dr. Levey oversaw GE’s national Discount dental provider network of over 35,000 dental providers which served over 1.8 million members. He has guided dental plans and practices efficiently and profitably. General and specialty dental practices alike have benefited from Dr. Levey’s direction. Doctor offices have increased productivity, created new revenue opportunities, and implemented referral-based practice management marketing strategies. His efforts with provider network contracting efforts, operational realignments and staffing reductions resulted in multi-million dollar cost savings. Furthermore, Dr. Levey is experienced in multiple channels of marketing; i.e. direct marketing [mail, telemarketing, and credit card holders], the general agent and broker channel, direct to individual consumers, and direct to large marquis corporate clients or governmental agencies. He has launched GE’s Matrix group dental product which allowed small to medium size groups the selection of multiple DHMO options as well as a PPO option.
A key dental plan industry leader, Dr. Levey is founding member of California Association of Dental Plans Quality Management Committee [CADP] and a Certified CADP Health Plan Auditor. Dr. Levey is a former member of a GE company Board of Directors and Corporate Officer for over six years.
